Great outline for evaluating a potential partner — thanks for sharing. I’m working to evaluate a prospective integration with Slack for my company’s personal shopping service (tryscratch.com) which helps busy professionals find amazing gifts for any occasion. We feel that there is a lot of overlap with our target customer and the typical Slack user (values saving time, convenience, etc.).

From your post, it seems like prospects that saw the Slack page were much more likely to convert, but curious if you can share anything regarding the size of the user acquisition opportunity. We’re trying to decide if the opportunity warrants the engineering costs.

Also, curious if Slack users would be interested in a tool that’s more consumer focused and not tied to their business. I saw an interesting article the other day about families using Slack so maybe it’s heading in that direction (https://unclutterer.com/2015/09/22/using-slack-for-families/).
