Great article. I have been a fan of what you have been doing at Groove for a long time now, and you were in large part a reason why I wanted to adopt a transparent model for my own startup.

I recently put together this article where I highlight that y greatest fear as a startup founder is not that I fail. It is that I won’t get the opportunity to start again.

Fear of letting down my co-founders. They were the first one who believed my idea and were wiling to go with me. I’m scared that I might someday have to tell them that our effort were not enough to keep the start-up going and our sacrifices will just go to nothing. Actually, just now, I’m scared to tell one of them that I’m not satisfied with his/her performance. But I’m scared more that our start-up will fall, so I guess I have to talk with him/her now.

Wonderful post, Alex! I’m not a startup founder but I can share a personal fear. My fear is that I’ll become out of touch, not relevant or worst of all – stagnant. This drives my thirst to be ever learning and growing.

Definitely Alex.
An amazing read.
My fear matches with the parts of ‘letting down the customers’ as well as the part of ‘losing track of people around’
But the learning is worth the pain.
