I love the idea of sending an email to all your recent followers rather than just a comment. I can see how you could earn that amount of money with a strong product. What if bloggers do not have a product to market and want to break into affiliate marketing? Do you have suggestions for them?

A few questions and a thought…Do you still read blogs for an hour+ each day? I’m a (fairly) non-technical co-founder and this would provide some useful core business activity perspective.

And would you still recommend all the blogs mentioned in your Blogs to Study spreadsheet…if not is there a 2016 version of this spreadsheet? That could be a cool applicable tool in a future blog post…Although all the same, I'd say the defining quality of a non news blog is that' it’s advice to last at least a few years, so I still plan on checking the current one out. :)

Another excellent post Alex. Focusing on activation seems like a no brainer but there are a lot of companies that miss the point. One of my first lessons in sales was learning to get one yes and then move onto another topic, feature, product etc. In addition to the great blogs listed above I also like to refer back to 'How to Win Friends and Influence People', yes it is a little dated but the principles still apply.

I am enjoying this series and look forward to reading the rest.

Hi Alex,

I've read through each post and have been loving every minute of the story your telling here!

Have a bit of a technical question I thought you could help with:

What do you use at Groove to track Churn, MRR, Sales, etc. for automated purchases? We recently launched an online payment option and I'm struggling to find the right tool. Doing manual cohort analyses and churn tracking is a little cumbersome at this point!

Hi Alex! Amazing series of posts :)

Have a quick question about the Usage Metrics - are you suing your own developed, inside app usage metrics or an external analytics?

cheers
