Interesting. David is also an investor in Intercom, which IMO is Groove’s #1 mountain to scale. Almost sounds like recruiting an insider 😉 .

That IS a very interesting decision! But it definitely makes sense after you explained it, Alex. 🙂 Looking at the ‘value of a good investor’, it seems like David will just add another layer of accountability and help you focus on the long terms goals, which is really great. As I’ve been sitting next to our CEO as he’s worked intently on our pitch deck this week, this was well timed and some great food for thought. You know I read this whole long article once, and then I read it twice! Very very insightful.

I notice that in your initial email you mention to David that you would like to onboard him as an “advisor” and speak nothing of investment. How did the conversation move from advisor to investor? Who initiated that?
