Thanks for the great article Alex. I'm for example grateful for being able to read your inspirational and transparent blog posts. They are so motivating.
> Especially in the early days of Groove when things always

> felt like they were at a stall, being able to lean on my

> friends was a huge source of much-needed stability.

If you don't have friends and family, who support you, where else can you get "emotional fuel" to keep going in tough times?

> leave a comment with 3 things you’re grateful for

1) That life puts me in circumstances, where I have no choice, but become a better (wiser, more intelligent, more active) person.

2) Good-enough functioning body (inclusive brain).

3) Abundance of black tea.

Another great post, Alex! I started on 5/5/14 writing down 5 things everyday I am grateful for. I try not to repeat anything (although, difficult), try to do it daily and keep my notebooks of all the entries.

In doing some research for my gratitude blog post this week, I counted how many days I have done this since May 5th. I was surprised (in a good way) I was at 67%. It's amazing what it has done, I just look at like differently now.

1. My 15-month old daughter 2. The ability to work from anywhere 3. Sunny weather in Sin City (originally from Michigan)

Enjoy Thanksgiving, Alex!

-Things that are awesome. Like the time I fumbled a cookie while getting it from the pantry and I caught it on my big toe with a dramatic kick to save it. It landed perfectly balanced on my big toe without a wobble and I calmly brought it back to within reach of my hand and ate it. How awesome is that. Little awesome moments like that bring happiness for years to follow.
-My family. I have a loving wife and 3 kids. While it takes time/effort, it is that time and effort that sustains me and gives the rest of my life purpose.
-All things board. Surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding. Is there anything cooler?

Your Turn: What Are You Grateful For

I'm not sure if that qualifies as ridiculously simple, but many times when I travel, I feel an immense gratitude of living in the country I live in, for thousands of reasons. Also, I always love hearing stories of other people who live in other countries that feel the same way about their places. It's not that one country is better than the other, it's just that everyone feels at home when they're... well... home. So, I'm very grateful to be at home most of the time.

Great post! Here's my 3:

* The deafening sound of katydids and tree frogs on summer nights heard from our home in the Ozarks countryside.
* Freedom - blessed to be able to choose my own path, instead of climbing the rungs of a pre-destined corporate ladder.
* Health, wealth, love and happiness (had to squeeze these all into a single point :)

Love this. I actually made a super simple iPhone app last year for saving 3 gratitudes a day -- it was sparked by dealing with some of the stresses of founding a startup. If any of you are into this concept, please give HappyFeed a try :) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/happyfeed/id707073943?mt=8
