Alex: truly appreciate the deep thoughts and facts. I’m not sure if I have made a mistake but I did spend additional two months to build our software into social engagement monitoring AND social selling, the message is now confusing, user adoption is worse than before when we were ugly and simpler. Cutting down is in store, especially thank you for the pain you revealed. Hugely valuable to me and my tiny team.

My company has a home and a blog just like Groove and out blog traffic are increasing each day. However the home’s traffic does not increase. Is there a trick to make this blog traffic convert into traffic for the home and possibly convert trials?

I swear. As I read through each blog I see myself in them. This is exactly how I approached our website (which I spent well over $300 and an unknown amount of single man hours building) that never launched because at the end of the day I realized that I was focused too much on it being pretty and not enough on simplicity and getting our message across. I knew if we launched that mess it’d hurt us more than help. Thankfully we’ve got people on board in that expertise.
