Hi Alex, I'm in a situation similar to your "Groove" startup. I have a great concept for an eCommerce site. I believe in it so much that I have hired a firm to develop the site for +$100k. It truly has to be custom built from the ground up. This site will take 4-5 months to build. My problem is I have no idea what to do from here. I have zero experience in ecommerce or anything tech related, I've never even been on Facebook. but I know it's a winner and I'll figure it out. My question to you is, being that I'm in desperate need for talent, what should I do from here? I would really appreciate any input.

I love your opening line! It always works to say the opposite of what people expect you to say. Don't take this advice is a great start! hahaha. I copied your five points into my blogging journal so I remember them. I also appreciate you sharing the two sample letters to advice givers.

Awesome post, as are all of yours I've read so far.

I tried sharing your picture with the five points, and Buffer said it was invalid.

Great stuff, Alex! There is a massive amount of advice found everywhere online these days so having a framework to view it through (on whether you should listen to it or not) is super helpful.

Great post - I used your model to determine if the advice in this post should be filtered out or not. Conclusion: it passed :-)

I wanted to share that I also found Andy Stanley's "What's the wise thing to do," helpful with making decisions. It's in many formats but I enjoyed it via podcast.

Thanks for the continued posts - we're a groovehq client and enjoy both these posts and the service.
