well content is like art - there is no accounting for taste and so any one person can only create the content or art that they are capable of making and at the best quality based on their own taste - and as has been said for years - there is no accounting for taste - :-)

so simply just do your best and that is all that you can do -

now for Gary who made that video a few years ago - I would mention that no matter who you are and what you are doing there is always a way of doing something differently and doing it better - (a way to improve) so along with quality and quantity - there is also the drive or incentive if you will to improve upon what you yourself have done - so in essence you can always improve upon your competition which is yourself - so in your case - perhaps create a system to record or write down these many ideas that you seem to be saying your pass up along the way -

Hello Alex,

I was reading a post about leveraging others but wasn't sure what that meant or how to do it. These are all new concepts for me.

Thanks for the information.

You know you do have a point that just working hard is not enough to get your start-up off the ground. I think another problem entrepreneurs face is letting other people helping them. When you are working on your dream project, it is easy to want to do everything yourself or micro manage which might not be the most advantageous thing.

This is great - especially the controversial title! :) I love the personal touch that comes from using your real-life examples from Groove's success story.

I've seen this same principle applied in other aspects of startups, like the software side. A friend of mine started a project and used a Tinder app clone as a foundation, which saved him weeks of coding. It's about standing on the shoulders of giants, rather than reinventing the wheel.

Awesome article Alex. Thanks for sharing. I have one small question though. How do you manage time for everything? Running a startup, building relationships, writing thought provoking blog posts on your blog, sharing links with others and then writing guest posts in other blogs - how do you manage it all?

I'd love to have some tips on that. Thanks in advance.

Excellent post Alex!

My company has hit a bit of a plateau and I've never had the confidence to reach out to others for help. I speak to a couple of well respected bloggers and could ask them but my niche is slightly different and I don't know how they could help.

I'm fairly new to your blog but love the posts. Please keep up the amazing work. It helps massively!

Very much on time post, Alex, thank you! Unfortunately I won't be able to attend a Hangout, but following your past networking advice I booked a ticket for a Neil Patel's content marketing hackathon here in Tel-Aviv. Hope with the tools and tactics you and other kind guys are sharing I'll be able to kickstart our growth right away. By the way, would you mind if I send you a link to my first post once it is ready? ;-)

As for the title sounding nefarious, I won't worry at all - there's an awesome book "Steal As An Artist" by Austin Kleon. Basic idea is that there's nothing new under the sun and we always build new things standing on the shoulders of giants.

Hi Alex,

Great stuff. Question about your Small Business Stack: Did you use the same relationship building approach you did with blogging to get businesses to participate?

Thanks,
