Hey Alex, really enjoy reading GrooveHQ, thank you for showing us how to do content marketing! :D

1) Was wondering what you thought about segmenting marketing communications according to user personas or similarly, creating different landing pages for different personas? Few people I've spoken to seem to say that it does not yield much results.

2) Could you elaborate more about a couple of techniques you guys have discovered to create user personas, i.e. have you thought about mental models (user journeys all the way)?

3) It would be so nice if you could share 1 real example of your user persona and how you get your entire team to understand who this person is and how it guides your decision making process in both product + communication.

Love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks, Alex, for a very valuable post, as always! I'm finally sitting down to build my first landing page with a survey to start customer development.

I have another question though. How did Groove acquire it's first customers? You started serious blogging at 30K MRR, and how did you get to that revenue at first? Thanks!
