You could easily re-phrase this question as, "how do you have something to say every week?" and that comes down to having enough inputs to process. I think the importance of #1 can't be overstated.

We often set aside time to stare at the blank screen when we should be exploring the work of others, both inside and outside of our own niche. Going "laterally" to your core topics to read about nearby topics can be a huge help.

re: #2 - My Evernote is an organized mess. I have a running lists of hundreds of terrible content ideas, well over 100 abandoned blog posts, and a massive Swipe File. I have no excuses.

Also, I just published a book that goes super deep into content ideation. My framework could be helpful for your audience: https://www.iteratemarketing[dot]com/content-marketers-guide-to-ideation/

One thing I love to do to come up with blog topic ideas is to survey a target demographic and ask what they would want to learn more about. I do this with Mechanical Turk, or a tool like https://userinput.io

For example, I surveyed graphic designers to find out what they would want to know more about screen printing, and I got several blog topic ideas that I know will resonate with the designers.

My #1 strategy is to always make and keep a checklist of blog ideas at all times. Never plan on writing a blog and coming up with an idea right before you starting writing. That's a huge mistake. Have a checklist of ideas and topics that are ready to go and that you are constantly adding to.
