Virtual leadership does come with its own set of challenges, but it also offers numerous benefits. Effective virtual leaders are those who can navigate these challenges while leveraging the advantages to build strong, productive, and innovative teams.

https://www.litespace.io/ has done this quite well with their tools to promote hybrid/remote work for any company willing to make that positive transition. It’s certainly helped me with adapting to the progressing age of remote work and should definitely be checked out!

Awesome post. Thanks for sharing. I totally agree about the one-way street. This team is NOT going back to an office. I also appreciate the "for high-performing remote capable team members only". If you haven't learned to be productive without people around you, this is a dangerous place to work.

I disagree on communication but maybe my issue is buried in the "people have lives" statement.

I find the productivity we get through remote work and enabling people to have their lives outweighs the "communication problems" of not having everyone in the same room. Call it talent acquisition, call it having a live, call it bad communication, it's really about making a world where people can be happier and, as a result, they are more productive and mentally engaged, even when they are not working.

We've got core meeting times (M-Th, 8a-10a ET) so you know when you can go get people you need live. I feel this allows for deeper work otherwise on the parts of teams and yet still gets you relatively low latency to a live meeting connect.

This is very realistic. Working remotely has a lot of advantages rather than disadvantages and all-in-one software can eliminate some of these disadvantages. You can save more pennies when you use Connecteam because it is an all-one app. You can use it for constant communication, sharing of documents for better collaboration, project management, and scheduling. The project manager can also have oversight of the progress of each team member in real-time.

Thanks for the broad discussion!

Half of our team are remotely-based workers from different countries across the globe, so we try our best to make them feel included.
Hi Alex. Thanks a lot for the article. Six months ago I decided to create my own small business and I have a small team, but since now I have to work remotely, it turned out to be a very difficult task. Of course, we use some services and tools to work remotely, such as Google docs, Trello, Skype, etc., but I will probably revisit some of the workflow after reading your article. I really don't want to lose what has already been done.
I will suggest one good article on this topic https://axisbits.com/blog/Why-its-Important-to-Cultivate-Your-Work-Culture-Remotely-and-How-We-Do-it
